Common problems with hardware stamping molds

Mar 12,2024

The most common problem with molds in production is that they always break the punch, which can be caused by many reasons. Generally, thicker raw materials and weaker punches can easily break the punch. When opening a mold for stainless steel products, special attention should be paid to the issue of punch reinforcement. If the material thickness is thicker, it is not recommended to punch holes in the cutting mold, as too much punching force in the mold can also cause the punch to break easily. It is important to conduct a preliminary review of each product when customers require mold opening, and convene relevant technical personnel to exchange experiences with each person to avoid repeated mold repairs after the mold is opened.
